Robbery is when a person knowingly takes anything of value (steals) from another person, and does so while using force, threats of force, or another other form of intimidation to accomplish the crime.
Robbery is a Class 4 Felony, and the charge carries a penalty of up to 6 years in the Department of Corrections and a fine of up to $500,000.

(1) A person who knowingly takes anything of value from the person or presence of another by the use of force, threats, or intimidation commits robbery.
